Blogging on a Beat

I am not a "professional" MC, and I do have a day job that I enjoy very much. Some people write blogs to express themselves...I make rap songs over other folks' beats. I do have a Facebook fan page though! Hah.

Recording process - (updated 11/16/2009) BALLIN! Got a new microphone today, and an audio interface for my computer. Awww shit. Kicks the ass of all my previous $20 microphones. So yeah, from now on, things'll be a bit clearer.

For the most part though, it's pretty low budget. I use a piece of free software called Audacity to import the instrumentals, record my vocals, and export the songs as mp3s.  On "Soul Shot Rhythms" and "Heterodox", I used a crappy little microphone that I bought around 2000, and thenreplaced it in late 2007, so stuff from "What Are You Gonna Do Now?" on forward sound a little better. I use Audacity and the Zune software for all the mp3 tagging related stuff.

Feel free the check out any albums, youtube videos, and random midi files (yeah, I know) I've posted from the Music menu.

P.S. if any of the artists listed below happen to see this, don't sue me. I'm just a cat who really likes your music and wanted to have fun rhyming over these tracks.  I'm not making money off any of this! If you really happen to like me though, feel free to offer me a deal. Ahem. Haha.
